Performing proper maintenance within the specified timeframes outlined in the owner's manual is critical throughout the life of the motor and warranty. An authorized Yamaha dealer can perform these as well as the owner, but all receipts and documentation pertaining to the service must be kept for the entirety of the warranty period. It is also best practice to keep these records outside of the warranty period as well. If you were to sell the boat down the road, they can add tremendous value for a buyer.
