When buying any new product it's good to understand the warranties involved in the product. Yamaha offers great warranties that will make your boating experience and boat buying experience even more enjoyable.

One of the most prominent features on your boat is the motor, it is the source of power that propels you through the water and ultimately carries most of the cost of the vessel. With that being said, having a warranty on this product to help offset costly repairs if they were to arise down the road really gives the end user peace of mind. Yamaha offers a standard 3-year warranty on every new outboard sold with the option to extend it up to 3 additional years (6 years total).

This warranty will cover all issues that are deemed by Yamaha to be a factory defect where the product is not performing as it should. Performing proper maintenance within the specified timeframes outlined in the owner's manual is critical throughout the life of the motor and warranty. An authorized Yamaha dealer can perform these as well as the owner, but all receipts and documentation pertaining to the service must be kept for the entirety of the warranty period. It is also best practice to keep these records outside of the warranty period as well. If you were to sell the boat down the road, they can add tremendous value for a buyer.

Yamaha as a company is well known for longevity and reliability across all of its product lines but an outboard motor is a true testament to this philosophy as it lives in one of the harshest conditions of any of their products. Offering 3 full years of warranty on this product despite that truly speaks volumes to their dedication and commitment to the product. We hope all our power matched customers have a safe and hassle free boating experience.
