Entry Description
After one year of research and practice, we finally caught a trophy rockfish. The rockfish, also known as the striped bass, migrate into the bay to spawn when the water gets to 55 degrees. It’s a small window as you can’t start fishing for them until Lay 1st, and very soon, they’re going to head back south to go back into the ocean and migrate north. It was an unreal experience to catch one the big after catching 12-25 inch all summer and early winter.
