Discover the redesigned Sportsman Open 302 featuring the all-new 3.0 design language, a panoramic windshield, larger hardtop, refined console entry, and thoughtful functional upgrades built on its proven hull.

Have you ever noticed? You can be completely content with your vehicle, and then as soon as you see the new body style drive by, yours seems dated. How can subtle styling updates make things feel and look completely updated and fresh?
At Sportsman Boats, we are constantly pushing the envelope with new product development! We are not only out to keep things looking fresh, but we also make it a habit to listen to our owners, strategic partners, and the pulse of the industry to make sure that our boats are the most functional boats out there!
That was the thinking behind the newly redesigned Sportsman Open 302. For years, the Open 302 has been one of the best-selling 30-foot center consoles in the market, earning a reputation for its ride, layout, versatility, and overall functionality.
Rather than reinventing what already works, we took a different approach: keep the proven foundation and reimagine everything around it.
The result is the all-new Open 302 featuring our 3.0 design language.
At first glance, you’ll notice the difference. But the more you look, the more you appreciate the attention to detail. The styling updates are intentional and, in many cases, subtle. New lines, proportions, transitions, and design elements give the Open 302 a completely fresh and modern appearance without losing the character that made it so successful in the first place.
One of the most noticeable changes is the new panoramic, seamless windshield.
The redesigned windshield gives the helm a much cleaner and more modern appearance while providing nearly 35% improved visibility compared to the previous generation. That may sound like a simple number, but when you're behind the wheel, the difference is immediately noticeable.
Better sightlines mean a better view of what's happening around the boat, whether you're navigating a crowded harbor, running offshore, or simply enjoying a day on the water.
And because the windshield is seamless, it doesn't just improve visibility—it contributes to the clean, contemporary look that defines the new Open 302.
The all-new hardtop is approximately 10 inches longer than the previous generation. That additional coverage may seem like a small change on paper, but it's definitely noticeable when the extra shade is needed.
The larger top also flows better with the lines of the boat, making the boat look fresh and updated.
More shade means more usable space beneath the hardtop and a little more protection when the sun is at its strongest. It's another example of how we're using the redesign to make the boat not only look better, but function better.
Another very subtle touch that helps both with functionality and aesthetics is the all-new fiberglass console door mounted on a pantographic hinge.
The hinge allows the door to open in a way that makes entering the console much easier. There's no awkward obstruction to work around, and the overall design creates a cleaner, more open entry.
It also gives the console a much more refined appearance. The fiberglass construction and integrated design feel like a natural extension of the console rather than an afterthought.
It's a small detail, but it's exactly the kind of detail that can make a difference in everyday use.
One of the most important decisions we made with the new Open 302 was knowing what not to change.
The hull has been one of the key ingredients behind the Open 302’s success year after year. It delivers the performance and ride characteristics our owners have come to expect, so there was no reason to start over simply for the sake of starting over.
Instead, we built upon that proven foundation and focused our efforts on improving the areas where we could make a meaningful difference.
The new Open 302 is a great example of how we approach product development at Sportsman.
We don't believe that every redesign needs to start with a blank sheet of paper. Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is take a great platform, listen to your owners, study how they use their boats, and then identify the areas where thoughtful changes can make the experience even better.
The 3.0 design language gives the Open 302 a fresh, modern appearance, but underneath those new styling cues is the same proven hull that has helped make this one of the most successful 30-foot center consoles on the market.
It's familiar where it needs to be—and completely new where it matters.
The all-new Open 302 also features thoughtful details throughout the boat, including:
• Self-centering magnetic cushions
• Hard-bottom cushions
• Serenity-Series SiLeather
• Paddle-style storage latches
• Acrylic livewell lids
• Chamfered bow tables
• Double-lip side-door sealing
• RGB lighting where applicable
