Introducing the Open 242 and Heritage 241 Center Console

Our 23 foot models have always been the most popular. Some still felt like they needed a little bit more room and amenities. Things like a 300HP engine, larger hard top, larger console to accommodate two 12" screens and in the case of the Heritage 231, a transom door.

We are proud to introduce the Open 242 and Heritage 241 to our model line up. Featuring the family-friendly designs that Sportsman boats is known for but with some differences.

• Let's start at the transom, they both feature walk through transom doors. The new design still allows for a full edge to edge bench on the Heritage 241, but with the removable port-side cushion, a door is revealed. The Open 242 sports a flip-down 2-person bench.
  

• Upgraded leaning post seating. The newly designed cushion set is a very nice upgrade from our deluxe leaning post option offered in most of our smaller models. These new seats feature more aggressive bolstering and an overall larger dual captain's chairs.
  

• Larger console with inner liner. This is a brand new console for us this year and it has already turned some heads. The larger surface allows for twin Simrad NSS12 MFD screens while maintaining an ergonomic design that will give you all-day comfort at the helm. The inner liner, finishes off the interior of the head / storage area.
  

• Over-sized fiberglass hard-top. One thing that sets this boat apart from the pack is the fact that it comes equipped with a hard-top as a standard feature. This adds incredible value to this elegant package. This brand new hard-top includes lights, misters, storage and rocket launchers.
  

• Family comfort and safety at the bow. The deep bow seating arrangement is ideal even for the smallest members of your family. Featuring wrap around cushions with removable bow backrests. The optional large bow table can also be paired with the sundeck cushion to close off this area of sun bathing.
  

• Higher horsepower capacity. Both new models have a higher engine capacity rating of 300HP. You get a choice of digital or mechanically controlled Yamaha F300 or Yamaha F250 or a Yamaha VF250 VMAX SHO.
  

• NMMA Certified. Sportsman Boats is committed to the highest standards of safety and quality and with these new models, that's no different. Our boats are built to meet or exceed industry standard ABYC regulations and are annually inspected by a 3rd party to ensure compliance, year after year.
