  • The raft up drew attendees from across Florida and beyond, with dealers from Stuart, The Keys and Charleston participating, signaling strong cross region interest and potential as an annual tradition.
  • The weekend featured a Friday meet and greet with giveaways, a raft up on the sandbar and Seakeeper demo rides.
  • Weather issues didn't derail the vibe so attendees still enjoyed lobster diving and social time and the event is set to become an annual tradition that will keep getting better.

The much-anticipated first Islamorada 2024 Sportsman Boat owners raft up was held this past weekend in the beautiful Florida Keys.

We Had a fun weekend packed with events and give aways. We kicked it off Friday night with a meet and greet with some of the best views in Islamorada at “The Sandbar” restaurant in Whale Harbor. We had complimentary appetizers thanks to Seakeeper, Unique Marine and Sportsman, give away shirts, coozies, as well as Sportsman and Seakeeper swag. We had a great turn out of dealers and owners. We had dealers from Stuart (Sand N Sea Marine), The Keys (Unique Marine) and even all the way down from Charleston (Hanckel Marine) attend and join us in the fun. Many boat owners attended from all over the state as well.

Saturday was the raft up at the Islamorada sandbar. Despite some bad weather we still had a good amount of boats show up. We had customers run down from the west coast, central Florida, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Seakeeper was there with their Open 262, offering demo rides and talking with customers about their products. Once the rain stopped and everyone was back in the water, we fired up the grill and provided lunch to everyone.

Sunday was going to be our snorkeling day at Alligator Reef but due to wind and chop we didn’t end up going out. Us Florida residents took advantage of the extra pre-mini season lobster day and went diving for lobster. The conditions on the gulf side were much better than the Atlantic so most of us spent Sunday running around to restaurants and lobstering.

We are excited to announce this will become an annual event and only get better in years to come. It’s a great place to meet like minded people, enjoy family time on the water and make memories.
