  • Autopilot provides precise heading control and reduces fatigue with a touchscreen that also handles GPS, sonar and audio.
  • Pairing with Yamaha Helm Master EX or SeaStar Optimus unlocks features like route following, virtual anchor and joystick control.
  • Autopilot is a safety tool integrated via SportLink, but it cannot replace a vigilant operator; always maintain a lookout and be ready to take manual control.

Long runs offshore. Complex channels. Holding a straight course in sloppy conditions. These are the kinds of challenges that turn a good helm system into a great one—and why Garmin Autopilot is such a valuable tool for serious boaters.

Whether you’re fishing solo, cruising with family or navigating unfamiliar waters, Garmin’s autopilot technology gives you more control with less fatigue, all through the same touchscreen interface you already use to manage your GPS, sonar and audio. And with factory pre-rigging on every Sportsman Boat, it’s easier than ever to take full advantage of what autopilot can do.

Precision Steering at Your Fingertips

Garmin Autopilot is built to hold a precise heading, even in tough conditions. With the press of a button on your Garmin GPSMAP® display, you can lock onto a route, follow a pre-set track, or maintain a heading—freeing you up to adjust lines, grab a drink or simply enjoy the ride.

If your boat is equipped with a Yamaha Helm Master® EX system or SeaStar® Optimus steering, you can unlock even more features like route-following, virtual anchor (with compatible engines), and joystick integration. It’s like cruise control for the water—smarter, more dynamic, and designed for real-world boating.

Integrated with SportLink®

Because Garmin Autopilot is part of the SportLink®SportLink® system, it’s already integrated into the rest of your electronics suite. There’s no need to toggle between apps or devices—the same display that shows your charts and sonar also lets you engage and adjust your autopilot with ease.

You can: • Follow saved routes created with Navionics+ or Quickdraw Contours • Maintain heading while trolling or bottom • Make course adjustments from the touchscreen or an optional remote • Quickly disengage and take manual control at any time

This seamless integration means fewer distractions at the helm and more time enjoying the journey.

More Time Fishing, Less Time Driving

For anglers, autopilot can be a game-changer. Whether you’re trolling for pelagics or drifting a ledge, having your boat maintain a consistent course or speed allows you to focus on the lines, not the wheel. Combine it with Garmin sonar and radar overlays, and you’ve got a smart navigation system that keeps you dialed in from dock to deep.

And for families, it adds comfort to every cruise. No more fatigue from hand-steering across open stretches or long no-wake zones—just smooth, controlled movement with a system designed to take the pressure off.

A Quick Word on Safety

While Garmin Autopilot is incredibly useful, it’s important to remember it’s not a substitute for an alert operator. The system is designed to follow pre-set routes and chart data, but it cannot detect unmarked hazards, newly placed channel markers, floating debris, or other boaters. Always maintain a proper lookout and be prepared to take manual control when navigating in high-traffic or unfamiliar areas.

Autopilot should be seen as a tool to enhance your awareness—not replace it.

Ready When You Are

Every Sportsman Boat with SportLink® comes pre-rigged for Garmin Autopilot compatibility. That means less hassle during install and full support from our factory and Garmin’s extended 3-year warranty.

If you’re ready to make the most of your time on the water—whether it’s offshore, inshore or just cruising—Garmin Autopilot is one upgrade that pays off every trip.
