  • Momentum for the 2026 season is building as Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale shows demonstrate strong sales and growing interest.
  • The Open 402 debut underscores Sportsman's focus on innovation and performance in the offshore center console category.
  • A core theme across the piece is community and direct engagement with owners and fans at shows, reinforcing the brand value beyond products.

There’s something special about boat show season. The docks fill up, the crowds buzz with excitement, and for a few days, the entire boating world gathers to celebrate the lifestyle we all love. For us at Sportsman Boats, the energy this past season has been nothing short of incredible—and if it’s any indication, 2026 is shaping up to be our biggest and best year yet.

Coming off two fantastic shows, Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale, we’re heading into the new year with great momentum, strong sales, and an even stronger sense of community among our owners and fans.

Annapolis: A Strong Start in the Heart of Boating Country
The Annapolis Boat Show kicked things off in style this year, and it didn’t disappoint. Nestled in one of the most iconic boating towns in America, this show always sets the tone for the season. The weather was perfect, and from the moment the gates opened, the docks were packed with passionate boaters, families, and anglers who came ready to explore what’s new in center console design.

Our partner, Riverside Marine, knows how to put on a show and always has a phenomenal setup showcasing our most popular models. Attendees loved seeing firsthand how Sportsman continues to blend fishing functionality with family comfort. Many visitors commented on our new upholstery and the integrated technology that takes our boats to another level. But what stood out most was the excitement in the air; people weren’t just browsing; they were buying.

Annapolis gave us an early sign that the demand for versatile, do-it-all boats is only growing stronger.

Fort Lauderdale: Closing the Season with a Bang
If you’ve ever been, you know it’s the Super Bowl of boating. The crowds were fantastic, the weather couldn’t have been better, and the feedback on our lineup was phenomenal.

Our display was buzzing all week long. Boaters from around the country, and even overseas, came by to climb aboard, meet the team, and see what makes a Sportsman stand out from the crowd.

The excitement around the debut of our all-new Sportsman Open 402 was electric. From the moment the gates opened, the buzz never stopped. Our booth was packed from morning to evening with boaters eager to see the largest and most advanced model we’ve ever built. The 402 drew crowds all week long, and the reactions said it all: pure excitement, nonstop curiosity, and plenty of “wow” moments as visitors stepped aboard. It was one of the busiest and most successful shows we’ve had yet, and the incredible foot traffic through our display proved that the Sportsman Open 402 has officially made waves in the offshore world.

Looking Ahead: The 2026 Boat Show Season
With Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale in the books, all signs point to an exciting 2026 season ahead. Boating interest remains high, and more people than ever are discovering how a Sportsman Boat makes every day on the water better—whether it’s chasing fish, cruising with family, or anchoring up at your favorite sandbar.

We’ll be back on the road soon, bringing the full Sportsman experience to shows across the country. Expect to see new design updates, fresh color options, and the same innovation that has made our boats a favorite among serious anglers and active families alike.

Boat shows are more than just a place to see new models; they’re where connections happen. It’s where we meet customers face-to-face, hear their stories, and welcome them into the Sportsman family. If you haven’t been to one yet, 2026 is the year to join us. Step aboard, see the craftsmanship up close, and talk to the people who build and stand behind these boats.

See You at a Show Near You
If this past season taught us anything, it’s that the passion for boating is alive and well. From the cobia fishermen in the Chesapeake Bay to the offshore crews in the Keys, more people are discovering that life is simply better on the water—and better still on a Sportsman.

We can’t wait to see you at the next show. Come say hello, bring your questions, and experience firsthand why Sportsman Boats continues to lead the way in comfort, performance, and value.
