  • The Open 302's bigger footprint creates deeper seating, wider walkways and substantially more cockpit space for comfort and offshore group operations
  • A rugged offshore platform built with SportTech fabrication and 100 percent composite construction delivers stiffness and durability with no wood
  • Long range and strong performance are supported by up to 700 horsepower with Yamaha options and a 295 gallon fuel capacity, while SportLink provides a clean integrated helm

The Open 302 represents a major leap into the large offshore center console category, where range, ride quality and onboard space all begin operating on an entirely different level. While it still carries the versatility and fishability that define the Open Series, the Open 302 starts delivering the size, capability and comfort many boaters look for when they begin spending more time offshore, running farther distances and carrying larger groups onboard.

At 30 feet 2 inches in length with a 10 foot 4 inch beam, the Open 302 carries a significantly larger footprint that immediately changes the feel of the boat both underway and at rest. The wider beam and increased hull volume create noticeably deeper seating, larger walkways and substantially more cockpit space throughout the entire layout.

With a 22 inch draft, the Open 302 still maintains impressive versatility for its size, but this is unquestionably an offshore-focused platform. A massive 295 gallon fuel capacity, with approximately 270 gallons usable, gives the Open 302 the range to comfortably handle long offshore runs, extended fishing days and overnight coastal trips with far less concern about fuel management.

That offshore confidence is backed by the hull design. A 22 degree deadrise at the transom paired with the larger hull size and additional displacement allows the Open 302 to deliver a smoother and more composed ride in rough offshore conditions. As sea conditions build, the additional size and weight of the platform become increasingly noticeable in how the boat handles larger chop, head seas and long offshore runs.

Performance reflects the capability of the platform. With up to 700 horsepower available, the Open 302 is capable of reaching nearly 60 mph while still maintaining efficient cruise speeds in the low-to-mid 30 mph range depending on engine configuration and conditions. Twin Yamaha F300 or F350 power gives the Open 302 the ability to cover serious distance comfortably while still maintaining predictable handling and strong overall efficiency for a boat in this class.

That performance starts with how the Open 302 is built. Every Open 302 utilizes Sportsman’s SportTech® advanced fabrication process and features a vacuum infused fiberglass stringer system designed to improve consistency, strength and weight control throughout the structure. Combined with 100 percent composite construction and no wood in the build, the result is a rigid and durable platform designed for long-term offshore use.

As the size and offshore capability of the platform increase, structural rigidity becomes increasingly important. The integrated fiberglass stringer system helps distribute loads throughout the hull while improving ride quality and maintaining long-term structural consistency in rough water conditions.

At the helm, the Open 302 integrates the SportLink® electronics system, combining Garmin multifunction displays (MFDs), Garmin VHF radios, digital switching, JL Audio integration and onboard system controls into one centralized interface. The result is a clean, modern helm layout where navigation, engine data, sonar and system monitoring are all easily accessible in one connected environment.

The layout is where the Open 302 really starts separating itself as both a serious offshore fishing platform and a luxury family center console. Up front, the expansive bow seating area offers multiple lounge configurations with removable tables and filler cushions that allow the space to transition between entertaining, relaxing and cruising. In the cockpit, dual pressurized aquarium livewells, oversized fish boxes, extensive rod storage and open workspace support serious offshore fishing without sacrificing comfort or passenger movement throughout the boat.

Features like dual side entry doors, available second station configurations, spacious console head compartment and premium seating throughout continue pushing the Open 302 deeper into the large luxury center console category while still maintaining the fishability the Open Series is known for.

Everything about the Open 302 is designed to handle bigger water, longer runs and larger expectations. It combines offshore range, premium comfort, advanced technology and serious fishing capability into one platform that comfortably bridges the gap between hardcore fishing machine and luxury family center console.
