Picked up a Sportsman Open 232. Great value for the price. The boat has done great so far. Has handled some rough seas in Long Island sound and has proven easy to drive and dock. Feels very stable when under way and when drift fishing. Has lots of features at a good price point. Equipped with the 200hp Yamaha which gets it on plane quickly and has great efficiency.

I took the new boat on its first offshore trip Labor Day. Went 40 miles out, caught lots of fish, and the boat handled beautifully. The fit and finish on Sportsman boats is phenomenal, and the ride is especially good for a 23-ft. boat. I couldn't be more pleased. Sportsman gets 5 stars, as does the dealership.

Very pleased with purchase of Sportsman 232. Looked at several other makes and models before moving forward. Was questioning a bit b/c they are a fairly new manufacture, but after doing some extensive research, the concerns disappeared after seeing both owners were from previous known makers & seeing features that come standard vs extras from others. Called Sportsman directly with questions prior to purchase and they were great- - I could hear the passion and enthusiasm over the phone.

Our third boat. Really like the Sportsman 232. Very well equipped and handles very solidly in Chesapeake Bay waters. One of the best points is the Simrad electronics package. Highly recommend for a mid-range fishing and recreation boat.

The Sportsman 211 is a great near shore boat (40 miles) and has plenty of fuel for a day of fishing. I have upgraded to the 232 Open for more fuel capacity. I live in north Florida where it is a 70 mile trip out to the ledges to fish for tuna and dolphin. The boat is a dry ride in moderate seas (3-4'). The draft on the 211 is 12" and the 232 is 14" allowing you to get in shallow if you still want to fish back water. Recommend a power pole if fishing the shallows. Outstanding Boat for the $.

After deciding on boating needs we looked at several similar style boats. The Sportsman boats were a wise choice with no hassles over choosing options. All the options that you need come on the boat. What works best was already picked out and installed on the boat. This boat can handle rough water situations and performs better than I ever thought. The Yamaha outboard delivers on performance and efficiency. I was surprised on just how far I can travel and troll without refueling concerns.

Well with about 30 hours on my 232 open, I really have no complaints. Boat has been solid and for a modified v hull rides very well. Been in 3-5 foot seas and was able to cruise at 20mph. Very fuel efficient boat, with the 200 I can cruise 25 miles out, troll for 8 hours, then come home all with only burning 25 gallons (4 guys & loaded to the gills). The tall gunnales are great for small kids, we have a toddler and dont have to worry about him climbing out. Very satisfied so far!

The Sportsman Open 212 is an all around great boat with state of the art standard options. The Simrad display is easy to operate and use. The boat itself is sturdy and rides comfortably in steady 3-4 seas. The 212 is a solid fishing platform that easily transforms into a family cruising vessel. All boat buyers interested in a center console should pay special attention to Sportsman Boats.

My Open 212 sportsman is a great boat that accommodates my offshore and inshore fishing needs. Sportsman has built a comfortable fishing machine. The boat handles well in light to small chop (2-3 fts). The Simrad electronics have great custom abilities to find any boat owner. Storage is good but over the top, good for an offshore vessel. Wiring and maintenance hatches allow for great room and ease of work. Overall, very satisfied as a sportsman owner.

I was looking for a dual purpose boat. I wanted a good fishing boat mostly for inshore but occasionally short offshore trips. Secondly, I wanted a safe boat for my 5 small grandchildren and a boat we could take on boat rides with the entire family. This boat is ldeal for me and my needs.

My local dealer is only a few miles away and has been very helpful with any issue that may arise and there really aren't very many issues. Only been out 6 times since delivery in March. Caught over 100 stripers with a personal best 43" cow of a striper. Only burning about 2-3 gallons per hour of run time. Very stable and surprisingly dry for the Chesapeake chop we get.

Best boat I have ever owned. Will do anything you want to do from fishing saltwater or fresh great tournament boat livewells are excellent for live fish weigh ins. And when you want to take the family out for a day on the water preforms great for any water sport, any very comfortable for everyone to enjoy the day. It's like having a whole fleet of boats all in one package.

Purchased my Sportsman 214 Tournament bay boat in February 2017. I'm very happy with the solid ride, quality fit & finish, and design of my boat. I researched boats for a couple years before selecting this Sportsman. My prior boat was also a bay boat and I had been on a lot of others while developing my wish list. Ultimately, this 214 Tournament checked off the most boxes and appeared to be the best quality and options for the price. I have not been disappointed in my decision.
