We live and boat on Bogue Sound midway between Swansboro and Morehead City, NC. It isn’t unusual to have it blow up into a 2 ft chop in the late afternoon. Our old skiff would beat us up pretty bad on our way back after a day of fishing with the wet ride taking 30-35 minutes from either of our favorite areas. Our new Sportsman Tournament 234 allows us to get home in 15 smooth, dry minutes. Great ride, nice quality and an easy fishing machine. Exactly what we were looking for in a Bay boat.

Purchased my Masters 247 four years ago. I liked the boat so much I recently purchased a new 2020 model. The boat does everything I want it to do. I use it primarily for fishing but it also is a great family boat as well. Before purchasing I did extensive research and product comparisons. Bottom line my new boat has the best overall quality and features of any boat I researched. Also was competitively priced with other boats I considered.

I have a Sportsman 247 bay with Yamaha 300. This boat handles excellent, is a very solid and dry ride. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the quality of the boat. I looked at three other manufactures of 24'-25' bay boats prior to purchasing the Sportsman 247, over a few months looking at bay boats, I kept going back to the Sportsman for overall quality and workmanship. I have no regrets purchasing the Sportsman 247 bay.

The Open 232 CC Sportsman is a well designed boat and handles the ocean well. The 250 Yamaha gets the boat up on a plane very quick with 8 adults. The premium package has all the necessary features for fishing and pleasure. The seating area is very comfortable with thick cushions and plenty of storage under each seat. The built in cooler is very large and insulated.

This is our dream boat. We have used it every weekend since we purchased it. We have been out Red Snapper Fishing in rough 5 foot seas and loved it! The lights on the boat as well as the underwater lights make it great to see at night and to be seen. The electronics are also great. We Love Everything about this boat.

Just bought the heritage 232 and love it. Was concerned about its fishability, but it has exceeded all expectations. Doesnt draft much more than my old bay boat so great for the creeks. Also can take a beating in ocean. Best thing is it was great right out of the box. Everything from flares to life vest.

Sportsman's Open 232 design checks all the boxes for the perfect hybrid (fishing, family, etc). I checked out all of the other major brands however, if you are over 6' tall, try to get your legs between the seat and the "not quite center" steering on the competitor's boat! The Open 232 is perfect for my needs. Runs shallow enough to get around in Estero Bay (check out how shallow that is...). Takes the waves nice and dry.

Boat performs well when heading offshore on the Gulf of Mexico and very stable when deep dropping. The deck is well thought out and easy to access all pumps, electrical, and filters. Great Standard features and excellent choice for upgrades when ordering. My favorite is the company answers me direct since I have issues using local service center. Again this is great boat from a owner who has had every top tier boat from 23-31 ft previously and decided to step out of the “Ad’s Name Game!!!”
