The biggest change to the Sportsman lineup this year is the addition of three new models to the Sportsman Boats lineup. The Open 252, Open 232, and Heritage 231 expand our line of boats in hopes to match our customers desires for their next Sportsman.
Open 252
The Open 252 comes packed with top of the line electronics and other features to ensure you have a family-friendly boat with all of the fishing capabilities. The Open 252 comes in at 25' 3" with a 9' 3" beam. This model sports an open bow layout perfect for family cruising and lounging while also perfect for moving around the boat wile fighting a fish. The Open 252 also comes outfitted with Seakeeper Ride that is made to fit into the hull of this boat with molded pockets to hold the tabs. Open 232
The Open 232 is designed to be the perfect balance between family boating and a day of fishing. The Open 232 accommodates any activity you encounter, go on a sunset cruise, fishing trip, or sandbar day and prepare to have the ultimate vessel to do it all. The Open 232 is 23' 4" in length with a 8' 6" beam. This model features the open and comfortable bow layout with removable filler board to give you more access to your deck. This model also comes equipped with Gemlux rod holders, large insulated aquarium live wells, and ample rod storage. The Open 232 also fits the family by having ample seating, insulated coolers, and anchors for the bow and stern so you're ready for the sandbar. Heritage 231
The Heritage 231 is a top of its class newly designed family boat. Sportsman Boats was founded on the hull of the Heritage 229, which kicked off Sportsman in 2011. We have reimagined the 229 to the new Heritage 231. The 231 allows for a family friendly deck layout and many other features that make this boat feel like home. The Heritage 231 is 23' 4" in length and 8' 6" beam, making this boat ready to tow. The large back bench seat, flippable rear seats, sandbar cooler, and stern anchor locker are only some of the features that the Heritage 231 comes decked out with, this is also known as "Sandbar Mode". From the Heritage 229 to the new Heritage 231 Sportsman has continued to grow and advance, keeping the up with the times but also managing to match the Charleston low country style after years of growth.
Seakeeper Ride Integrated Trim Tabs
The team at Seakeeper Ride created an automated trim tab that behaves on all three axes and computes a counteracting sequence to reduce pitch, roll and yaw. This new technology has allowed us to create new integrated hull pockets for the following models: Masters 247, Masters 247OE, Masters 267, Masters 267OE, Open 262, and Heritage 261. With the integrated pockets for Seakeeper Ride we have designed each hull to work together with the ride system to give you and your family the most comfortable day on the water.
Digital Switching for Premium 25' and Below

Model Year 2024 will also sport the Digital Switching system on Premium models 25' and below. This MPower® digital switching system also comes equipped with a custom Sportsman dash keypad with icons exclusive to Sportsman. Each keypad is customized to receive the appropriate switches that match the standard and optional features of your particular boat.
Premium Garmin Fusion® Audio Entertainment with DSP Sound System SportTuun®
Model Year 2024 has equipped every Sportsman model with the Premium Garmin Fusion® Audio Entertainment with DSP Sound System SportTuun®. With this new system comes with new equipment. This includes the world’s first touchscreen marine stereo with the AirPlay® 2 software feature and built-in Wi-Fi® connectivity, Apollo RA770. (Standard on all boats 26' and up and available as an upgrade for boats 25' and down.) The SportTuun® system, exclusive to our Sportlink ® System that comes standard with a 3 year warranty. This Custom Tuned DSP System is an exclusive audio profile that was developed by the Garmin engineering team for our boats and this delivers the truest sound to the listener's ears, regardless of the acoustical properties of the boat.
