  • Secure the table leg fully into the base and tighten to prevent wobble.
  • Align the table with the center fitting and store all components after uninstalling to keep your console area organized.
  • If you encounter stubborn threads, reverse the threading to loosen the post before reinstalling.

Using the removable forward table on your Sportsman boat is a great way to enhance your boating experience, providing a convenient space for dining or entertaining. Here’s a detailed guide on how to properly install and uninstall the table to ensure it’s secure and functional whenever you need it.

Installing the Forward Table

1. Retrieve the Table and Leg: Start by pulling the forward table from its dedicated storage in the console. You’ll notice the table leg is stored on the side of the table. Remove the table leg from its storage position.

2. Prepare the Table Base: Locate the table base mounted to the deck of the boat. The fitting on the table leg is threaded, which is essential for securing it to the base.

3. Attach the Table Leg: Insert the threaded end of the table leg into the table base. Twist the leg until it’s tight and secure. Ensuring it’s tightly secured will prevent any wobbling or instability.

4. Position the Table: Grab the table and locate the black fitting in the center. This fitting is designed to sit on top of the table leg. Place the table onto the leg, ensuring it’s properly aligned and stable.

Uninstalling the Forward Table

1. Remove the Table: To remove the table, simply reverse the installation process. Lift the table off the table leg carefully.

2. Detach the Table Leg: Unthread the table leg from the base by twisting it counterclockwise. Once it’s loose, remove it from the base.

3. Store the Components: Store the table leg back in its dedicated storage area on the side of the table. Place the table back into its storage position in the console to keep everything organized and out of the way when not in use.

Troubleshooting Tips

1. Stubborn Threads: Sometimes, the threaded post at the bottom of the table leg can become very tight, making it difficult to fit into the base. If this happens, place the leg into the base and reverse the threading process to loosen it. This adjustment will extend the post, giving you enough space to install it properly.

By following these steps, you can easily install and uninstall the forward table on your Sportsman Open 212, 232, 252, and 262 along with the Heritage 231. This versatile feature adds significant convenience to your boating experience, allowing you to make the most of your time on the water.
